The Library and the Friends of the Redford Township Library present the first annual Books & Bytes Benefit, generously sponsored by Detroit Diesel Corporation. On Friday, April 19th, from 6-9 p.m., guests will mingle after hours on the main floor of our sophisticated and spacious Arts and Crafts-style Library, amongst the stacks, reading room, and fireplace. Tickets are priced at $50, and include food, two drinks, and access to the event. Highlighting the evening will be live and silent auctions, a “Geek the Library” photo booth, great music, and other fun surprises to entertain and excite. Space is limited to 250 guests; semi-formal attire is suggested. Tickets can be purchased at the Library, the Redford Township Clerk’s Office, or online.
Proceeds from the Books & Bytes Benefit will help the Library bridge the widening digital divide in our community. With your support, we will purchase 10 laptops, software, and a mobile storage cart, and schedule computer classes on demand. Currently, the Library can borrow a shared lab one week per quarter, though over 200 people are on our active waiting list. With our own equipment, we will dramatically expand class offerings and train the hundreds of people asking for this valuable free service.
Enjoy a fabulous gala event and help our citizens build their computer skills. Get your Books & Bytes Benefit tickets today!
