Please remember that the librarians are here to help you; always feel free to ask us any questions you may have about the library.
If you are looking for homework help, tips on teaching your child to read, homeschooling information, parenting advice, a fun reading program or even a chance to read to a dog, you are in the right place. In this department, you will find an inviting atmosphere, where you can put on your own puppet show, visit our craft area, complete a puzzle or share a story with your child in a cozy chair.
We have fiction titles from board books for your baby, to stories for older elementary students. We also have non-fiction books, for babies through high school. There are CDs, DVDs, puppets and magazines that can all be checked out with your library card. Computers with internet access for patrons age eleven and younger are also located here. In addition, there is a special Early Literacy computer, which features fun learning games for the youngest library user, and The Afterschool Edge computer which offers fun educational learning games designed for students in elementary grades. On this page, you will also find a link for TUMBLEBOOKS, an interactive, online collection of picture books.
The children's department has much to explore for the entire family. To aid in making sure this is an enjoyable experience for all library users, we ask that no one under the age of 11 be left unsupervised in the children's department.
Be sure you also say Hi! to Swimmy, the library's pet beta.
