Visit the Circulation Desk and present your current/valid Driver’s License or State of Michigan ID showing your current/valid Redford Township address. You will receive your card in a matter of minutes and it will be valid for one (1) year from the date of issue.

Do you have an interesting collection or hobby that you’d like to share? Ask to feature your treasures in the Library’s display case! The display case is available for educational, artistic, informational, and cultural displays and exhibits. Displays of a commercial nature are not accepted, though business cards may be left at the Library for distribution. Signage stating a display’s sponsorship must be included with all exhibits.
The library offers fax services at the Circulation Desk. Faxing is available at $1/pg., outgoing only with a free coversheet. International faxing is available with an additional $5 flat fee.

Library Meeting Rooms and Group Study Rooms may be reserved online by clicking on the link above. Individuals reserving meeting space should carefully read the Use Policy pertaining to the type of room booked.
Group Study Rooms may be booked free of charge. Fees for use of the Meeting Rooms will be charged to all groups except program partners of the Library, e.g. Redford Township, Redford Union School District, and South Redford School District. Prices are for a half day (up to 4 hours). A full day (more than 4 hours) is double the cost.
MAP is an online program. Library users with a valid library card can print a pass, either from home or at the library, to one of more than 100 participating institutions. The list includes the Cranbrook Art Museum, the DIA, the Gilmore Car Museum, and the Michigan Science Center, to name a few.
The Library offers self-serve copiers for your convenience. The photocopiers are located in the Copy alcove near the Adult Reference Desk. B&W copies are .20/pg. and color copies are .75/pg. You may also scan a document to a flash drive using the color copier free of charge.
There are 24 computers in the Adult Department and 6 in the Children's Department, which offer internet access and Microsoft Office 2010. In order to use these computers, you must log on with a valid Library card number or a Guest Pass.
If you bring your own wireless-compatible device, you may access the Wi-Fi without a Library card. You may print wirelessly from your smartphone, laptop or tablet to our library’s black-and-white/color copier. If you are in a hurry, use one of the 2 Express Stations available next to the library catalogs for 15 minute sessions.
The library features a self-service hold shelf, conveniently located next to the Circulation Desk. When you are notified that your request has come in, it will remain on the shelf under your last name for 1 week. You may check out the item(s) at the Circulation Desk or at one of the 3 convenient self-checkout machines.
We have received most of the tax forms that we are scheduled to receive. We have the Federal 1040, 1040A and 1040EZ forms. Due to drastic IRS funding cuts, we will NOT be receiving any Federal instruction booklets.
We have all of the main State of Michigan forms and instruction booklets, including MI 1040, MI Homestead Property Tax Credit and MI Home Heating Credit forms. There is NO MI 1040EZ. There will NOT be any Michigan Reproducible forms. We do NOT have any City of Detroit forms.
