Visit the Circulation Desk and present your current/valid Driver’s License or State of Michigan ID showing your current/valid Redford Township address. You will receive your card in a matter of minutes and it will be valid for one (1) year from the date of issue.
If you are new to the Township and have not yet changed your identification, you will also be required to provide a current piece of official mail. Library cards issued with supporting mail will be valid for 30 days until a Driver’s License or State of Michigan ID reflect your current/valid Redford Township address. Once proper ID is presented the card will be extended for the full year expiration from the original date of issue.
Those under 18 must complete an application and have it co-signed, in person, by a parent or legal guardian. Legal guardians MUST provide court documentation as proof of guardianship in addition to valid ID as outlined above.
Library cards expire 1 year from date of issue. In order to renew your card you must provide your valid Driver’s License or State of Michigan ID showing your current /valid Redford Township address. If renewing a minor card, the parent or legal guardian must be present to show ID. Library fines or fees MUST be paid in full in order to renew a library card.
Your library card enables you to enjoy the services of 64 other libraries in Wayne, Oakland, Washtenaw, St. Clair and Livingston Counties. Library cards expire 1 year from the date of issue.
It is your responsibility to report any address, telephone, e-mail or name changes to the Library.
Please report a lost library card IMMEDIATELY. You are held responsible for ALL items checked out on your card.
